M2 GLOBULAR CLUSTER on 2024-09-28,29,30

 M2 Globular Cluster is also listed as NGC 7089. The Globular Cluster has a diameter of over 150 light-years and contains about 150,000 stars. It is located about 37,000 light years from earth in the constellation Aquarius. M2 is approaching us at the low velocity of 5.3 km/sec. Most of the cluster’s mass is concentrated at its center. 57 variable stars had been discovered in M2 as of 2017.

This photo was taken in Kyle, Texas, through a 6-inch f/4 Telescope, on a EQ6-R mount, with a ZWO ASI533MC PRO color camera, plus a Optolong L Pro Light Pollution Filter. The processing was done in PixInsight. The total image acquisition time is: 2 hrs 43 min 30 sec.
