Sh2 105, also known as the Crescent Nebula, and NGC 6888, is an emission nebula about 4,700 light-years away in the constellation Cygnus. It is a shell of gas expelled by the powerful stellar wind from the hot, massive Wolf-Rayet star WR 136 at its center, which is nearing the end of its life. Zoom in to see greater detail!

This photo was taken in Kyle, Texas through a 4.5-inch f/4 Telescope, on a Sky-Watcher EQ6-R mount, with a ZWO ASI533MC PRO color camera plus a dual-band H-Alpha & O-III Filter. The processing was done in PixInsight. The total image acquisition time is: 3 hrs 28 min 30 sec.
